The city

Working on an illustration for a banner. The basic idea is to make a cool image of a city, maybe incorporate the catchphrase "it's growing" conceptually into the image. Early photoshop sketch in preparation for illustrator treatment.

Run the gauntlet

This was part of a large design project in which I and a team of classmates had to create a marketing package for an imaginary product. I would have liked to take this editorial illustration to a more refined state, but I was also responsible for designing the logo and organizing our presentation.

what made this piece groundbreaking for me, is that it was the first time I really used photo reference for an imaginative piece the way I've always wanted. The woman is based strongly on a stock photo I found, but rather than copying the photo, I was able to do some studies of her face, and then adapt them to match the composition I needed.
