So I thought that I would kick this blog off with some progress images of an illustration I'm doing for a digital drawing class. One of the things that continues to boggle me is how much patience it takes to bring a piece through to a completed state. So often I expect to be able to achieve a great level of finish in a small period of time. This is simply not how it works. In a culture where almost everything come instantaneously, art remains a thing that can only be obtained through dedicated time.

I'm hating this final composition still, so I intend to revise it one last time. I think I have a grasp on what I want to do.
